Friele Frokost Kaffe is an exquisite blend of up to 7 different coffee types in addition to a constant quality and taste all year round.

The Friele Frokost Kaffe has been roasted and ground mainly with southern- and central American Arabica coffee, grown at a high altitude. The coffee has a nice combination of body and acidity.

Friele Frokost Kaffe is a quality coffee you can safely serve at any occasion. This may be the reason why Friele Frokost Kaffe is Norway's number one selling coffee with a market share of 27%.

Friele Decaffinated Coffee

Many people appreciate coffee, but not everyone is as appreciative of the affect the caffeine can have. Some experience discomfort when they have had too many cups containing caffeine. In order to satisfy the need for a good cup of coffee without caffeine, Kaffehuset Friele has offered Friele decaffinated coffee since 1979.

Decaffinated coffee became known in Europe around 1900. The coffee has a small market share in Norway, and makes up less than 1% of the total coffee sales. However, Friele is Norway's biggest supplier of decaffinated coffee.

Friele decaffinated coffee is described as a nice blend of Southern and Central American Arabica coffee. Slightly acidulous taste with body.

Café Noir

The latest product to be launched by Kaffehuset Friele is Café Noir. An exiting dark roasted coffee, with a taste of continental coffee culture. The coffee has a rich aroma, good body and a well balanced acidity. If served in a french press the coffee's aroma is accentuated.

Fairtrade

By buying fairtrade branded coffee you are showing solidarity to small coffee farmers in developing countries. The coffee consists of selected coffee beans from the highlands of Guatemala. The coffee is bought from four of Fedecocaguas cooperatives and comes from, among other, the Quetzaltenango area. Fedecocaguas is an umbrella organisation that collects 102 cooperatives, that is 650 coffee farmers in all. The organisation was started in 1969 and has, as their goal to help small producers in all parts of the country achieve better prices for their products.

The coffee is grown at an altitude of somewhere between 700 - 1400 meters above sea level. It has a rounded taste with a good acidity. Well sited for everyday use and special occasions.

Illy espresso

Espresso - a little dark, concentrated cup of coffee, with an intense aroma and a bittersweet taste. Illy espresso is made of 100% Arabica beans. The beans are roasted by way of traditional methods and are cooled in air after the roasting. Illy espresso has a rich and balanced aroma.

Illy espresso is produced in the birthplace of the espresso, Italy. Illy began producing coffee in 1933. The company delivers espresso coffee to 70 countries the world over.

Spesial Kaffe is a selection of types of coffee from Kaffehuset Friele. The line consists of exotic coffee beans from all over the world and exciting flavoured coffees.

Krone kaffe

Our coffee experts describe Krone Kaffe as: 'a nice blend of coffee types, the basic principal being a "soft" Brazilian coffee with undertones of sweetness and acidity. The blend also contains coffee from Central America, Africa and India and this gives it a full bodied taste'.

Krone was launched in 1906 in connection with the crowning of King Haakon VII. That is why it is called "Krone" which is crown in Norwegian.
