We have recently made 3 new commercials from Brazil. The commercials focuses on the green coffee buying process in Brazil, and the viewers are travelling to the place where it all started. Annually, Friele buys 6 mill kilo green coffee from Brazil.

The coffee pioneer Berent Friele
The first commercial is dealing with The coffee pioneer Berent Friele. Berent worked for The Great American Coffee Company in New York when he got in charge of purchasing coffee from Brazil. Young Berent with solid roots from the family coffee business in Norway then started travelling across Brazil in search for the best quality coffee.
Early1900 Berent discovered the coffee valley Vale da Grama in Sul de Minas, at the border between the states of Sao Paulo and Minas Gerais. - Here you will find probably the best coffee in all of Brazil, was young Berents messsage to the family back in Bergen. Berent was after a while appointed as Nelson Rockefellers personal advicer in latin-american questions. Berent Friele (III) was cousin of Herman Frieles father.
Two good coffee neighbours
The second commercial is called Two good coffee neighbours, and is about the coffee farmer Joaquim Dias and his farm in Vale da Grama. Dias is 85 years old, and has won prices several times for his exceptional good quality coffee. The good neighbour is Herman Friele, who through the family company B. Friele & Sønner is partly owner in two neighbour farms in the cofee valley Vale da Grama.
The coffee traders in Santos
The third commercials is about The coffee traders in Santos. The commercials is about the coffee "capital" Santos and the urban coffee society that we find there. In the commercial we learn about the business from green coffee trader Rasmus Wolthers and green coffee exporter Mariana Veloso.
