Coffee is an agricultural product which grows best within a belt which stretches 12 - 15 degrees south and north of equator, in tropical or subtropical environments. Ideally the growth place should lie between 500 - 2000 metres above sea level and it should have plentiful downpours. The best soil is volcanic, clay filled and moist.
